Public Recognition
We are pleased to have been called on to assist Local and National Government Agencies, for example Trading Standards and local and national TV and radio programmes in matters of consumer interest.
Security Consultancy
The SafeGuard team holds respected engineering qualifications, fellowships and memberships of leading Security Associations. They are members of The Association of Security Consultants, the Association for Independent Practising Security Consultants, and Fellows/Members of the Security Institute, a worldwide organisation designed to promote ideas and innovation.
Setting the Standards
We have been, and continue to be, involved in the formation of both industry and British Standards via the British Standards Institution and currently sit on four relevant BS technical committees.
We have written or co-authored training manuals and courses within the industry training body and have acted as External Verifiers for NVQs. We have also been involved in the generation of distance learning material for security surveyors and consultants.
Engaging in driving the industry forward
The founder director of SafeGuard, Terence Hack, has held the position of Vice Chairman of the Joint Security Industry Council, an institution formed to unify the many and various arms of the UK security industry who debate and progress issues of national and international importance to the future of the industry.
Terry Hack was also a Council Member of the Association of Security Consultants, the only association for independent practising security consultants, whose opinion and standing can have a major influence on standards within the industry. He now holds Honorary Membership in recognition of his efforts over
the years.
Graeme Dow, Jon Laws and Warren Collins are former Directors of the Association of Security Consultants and Jon Laws has previously been the Association’s Vice Chairman.
